I'm having the hospital bed picked up by charity tomorrow. They want me to be here from 8-5...Well I am willing to wait as long as they remove the bed. I didn't end up buying a new bed. I had my son and his friend move the bed from upstairs downstairs. Now , I have a sewing room upstairs.
I am taking advantage of the goodwill pickup. I have managed to get rid of 4 big bags of clothes and shoes that we do not use anymore. There is more that I should get rid of, but, That will be it for

But, my partner, the new guy came in Saturday to help with the order. I contronted him and told him that I needed to talk with him. Sunday was actually my first official day of retirement. We went to church and had a nice quiet day. William was tired after church and had a rest. I went to the gym and worked on weights. I have not done that in months. One of my new goals. Work on myself. Boy, were my muscles tired after that workout.
Monday, I told Wiilliam that we had to get alot of stuff done. So. off to the pool we went early in the am.

It is such an adjustment. I am still grieving the loss of my job. Even though it was for the best. That was the worst job that I have ever had. But, it is still a loss that I must grieve over.
William absolutely loves having me around.
Today, I got William to the pool early. 8:30AM. we got out in time to make it to bible study at 10:30AM. Perfect timing. this lasted until 12:30.

I had been thinking of the Wii for over 3 years. I finally decided that William is ready for me to tackle a new therapy for him.
The hard part for me was getting it attached to the TV. This was difficult because I have direct TV and they have a DVR box that is utilizing the plugs that the wii needs. I called the help desk at direct tv and was told that I just had to unplug the TV and direct TV box and then attach the wii to the TV. That doesn't sound like this is the best way to go. If
Well, I put off the job offer that I have. waiting to hear back on another one. I think that I will just go for the one that I do have.
I have to be practical. It is a bad job market. I am fortunate to have gotten an offer so soon.

80/60 was the reading that the oral surgeon got this morning. he did not feel comfortable with that reading. So home we go. He says that I need to take William to his primary care and get an OK again.
Luckily I have an appointment with the cardiologist on Friday.
Wm's blood pressure does not usually run that low. What is going on? I take him home and push fluids. I retake the BP and is is 117/80.

I had a job interview today. it is a different position. This is at a call center. I will be learning all about medicare part D insurance and drug reviews. This job will be full time and with so little stress. The only problem is the distance. It is a 40 minute drive during off peak hours. but, I do have the option of the park and ride and taking the express bus. I get a month of training. I like the idea of something different. Today, I got up at 4AM. William and I are so used to getting up early for the pool. Even when I cannot make it to the pool. Our regular pool is closed, so when I have the morning shift, I cannot make it to the pool. But, we are up anyways. We chose to listen to the news.
I manage to snooze a little. I am up at 6AM. I get up and showered and ready for work.
I drive to work and stop by the donut shop to pick up some kalouches and donuts for the kids at work.

I kept thinking about the job that I was going to accept. I just did not feel perfectly comfortable with it. My bus ride to work would have been on the bus for 3 hours to and from. that means that my day would be 12 hours long. 8 hours plus lunch and 3 hours of commute. that was too much.
Fortunately, I had another job interview today and this job is only 30 minutes away. The hours are 3:30 to midnight. But, that means that I can still do all of my exercise stuff with William. He w
I just had the worst day at work. Awful cannot even describe it. I got to work at 4Pm. The pharmacist ahead of me was backed up. The que was 11 pages and he was still trying to verify 2Pm stuff. The order from the day before had not been done. The new order from today had not been touched.
Lot of complaints and unhappy customers. I could not catch up.
That was work.
But, the morning was nice. I took William to the pool. He is doing so well.

I got off work at 2Pm and decided that I was going to go to the pool. I step into the house and tell William that I am going to the pool. He says, I'll go with you. I am shocked. I thought that he would stay home and just let me go. Well, I take him and Lo and behold the kids are all over the pool.
Lots of kids. They are in the summer kids program at the YMCA. William has to endure them for 20 minutes. They have to get out at 3PM. They are shouting and jumping and splashing as
Swimming is such a funny thing with William. Well, walking in the water.
William still goes to the water with me 5 to 6 times of the week. Even after 2 years...he still does not suggest this outing on his own. He just agrees to go with me.....because he knows that I will have a fit if he does not acquiecse..
Yet, every time after we are finished...he does agree that he feels better. He knows that this is helping him .

I had one telephone interview. today I had an inperson interview. It was carried out by 3 supervisors questioning me. I will be notified next week. they are conducting interviews this week.

I signed the paperwork and accepted the call center job. I did not get the offer for the off site position. So my gut feeling was right.
I had to take a drug test today. I was not thinking. I went there after the gym and I was dehydrated. I could not pee ...50mls. So I had to wait in the the lobby and drink water for an hour. Finally, I was able to pee alot.

Can you believe that dust on the floor bothers William. Yesterday I noticed some powder on the floor and he wanted me to clean it up. I didn't feel like it. This morning he see's it again and says "There is powder everywhere". Please clean it up. The powder is from him. I powder him after his shower and it gets on the floor. William obsesses about stuff like that.
I am not the best house keeper. But, I do keep the floors clean. that is why he notices any thing on the floor. As
William is up and says that he feels like he would like to throw up. I decide that it will be best to sit up rather than lie down. So I assist him to the recliner. He feels much better. I get him him into Netflix. He was watching FDR last night and wanted to continue with Truman. I convinced him continue in the morning. I had no idea that we would want to watch it at 3:30AM. Who knows....??? He is really into history programs. He had me watching Dolly Madison last night.

William is still up at 3AM. He cannot sleep. And I am tired. But, I explain that if he is going to sleep all day....he cannot expect to sleep at night.
He asks for a sleeping tablet. I give him a 5mg Ambien. It doesn't work. And hour or 2 later he finally goes to sleep. I am fast asleep before that time. He agrees that he cannot go to sleep that early.
Every since 9PM...he was in bed trying to sleep. But, he need to try to pee every 30 minutes. I finally ask. What is up with
My excuse for getting William to the pool by 5:30A has been that we need to miss the afternoon tropical rains that have been coming down the last two days.
Summer is a hard time to get the swimming done. We need to get to the pool early to miss the kids swim lessons and other activities that start in the pool during the summer.
but today, we had lots of lap lanes taken up by an early group of some sort. that pushed the regular lap swimmers over to our area. The waves that they make..
Well, you know, the anxiety of a new job. I am just so glad that I did settle on this job. The drive is really not that bad. 35 minutes in off peak time.
Today was our 1st day of training. Not much happened. We waited for an hour for somebody to get off the phone. Then we stayed an extra 2 hours for a little orientation. and got some handouts.
It appears that the class before us is having computer problems. So that is putting us a little back. No class tomorrow. We start on Wed
It was fabulous. William thoroughly enjoyed himself.
He anticipated the evening to come so much that he spent the day resting after his morning pool therapy. He was really excited.
I got home at 2:30 PM and William wants to get ready to go. The program doesn't start until 8P. I told Wm that I needed a rest so that I would be up for the end. I did get a nice nap in.
I got to the tent early. It is always fun to get there early. good parking and the crowd to get you excited.
Handicap
I was visiting with a friend and was turned on to eating healthier. He go me to watch the video on Bill Clinton and the doctor who is advocating vegetarianism.
I have always been interested in becoming a vegetarian. but, have never went the whole way.
I have instead decided to eat healthier. Increasing the amount of fruit and vegetables in our meals. William does love his meat.
You will certainly lose weight. William eats less when he doesn't like stuff. This is one way to lose
The Ymca that we usually use is closed for remodeling. They are putting a new roof on the indoor pool. this is supposed to take anywhere from 3 to 4 months.
In the meantime, I can use a different Y, but the drive makes it impossible for me to use the pool on a daily basis. Perhaps twice a week depending on the weather.
I got William up at 6A but we had lightening on the way over. That means that the pool is closed. So, I turned around and drove home.

I asked William if a regular routine is a good thing. He said "yes". He likes to know that each morning is the same.
We get up and get ready for the pool. No surprises there.
William usually gets up and says where are we going. I just have to reply. We are going to the pool. Sort of boring...but the routine works.
William does get a reprieve when I need to work the morning shift. this is usually only a couple of days of the week.
