I walked with a cane!! I walked with my designer decorated beautiful cane around the mall and in stores. I sat and rested in those little rest areas with real furniture and enjoyed a peppermint mocha while I watched people shopping. I waited there for my family to do some running around. Ok I walk real slowly but the most important word here is WALK. with a cane! I know I was grinning the entire time and folks probably thought I had lost my mind. It was a wonderful experience to be just standing
I am on higher dose of Fentanyl and lyrica and gabbapentin. They are switching out the gabba.

ok, so the pain hits at 5pm on time like a train. spasms too. so they give me the world's tiniest pill with the world's largest pill. That is my oxycodone paired with my glucophage. simply because it is before dinner and the nurse already must visit me twice in an hour. twice a day even because an hour after oxycode comes the oxymorphone. Can this be spaced out a bit. Well in between comes lyrica at 2 and 10pm. but the 10pm actually comes at 8 with my bedtime insulin because I am freakkin wirh
Ok for the record I love hospital food. I like it in the rooms and in the Cafeteria. I have never been considered a picky eater and I like to try new foods..as long as a glass of water is handy.
I find the food here nauseating. I have sent it away quickly. I like homemade mashed potatoes and the kind made from flakes in a box. I do not know what was mashed up to put under this gravy. It Does Not taste like potato. All meat is some kind of processed loaf. My roomie calls the chicken sawdust.
I went to Cardiologist yesterday. First time the echocardiogram showed a problem. But my body has been swollen, still swelling, and I have a rash on my left good leg from swelling irritation, according to my dermatologist. So, now I am waiting to be scheduled for sleep study to check for sleep apnea and an appointment to have a stress test at nuclear medicine lab. I am on a handful of drugs and I have been for months since stroke and I expect that someone is watching over what I am taking. I just found out yesterday that I am taking some that interact together from the pharmacist. I have been taking it for a while he said and he siad that he had called the doctor. He was informing me and putting it in my hands. My hands don't know what to do. I said should I stop them and he said no just talk to the doc and ask him to run for interaction on my drugs.
I got my splint for my left thumb and wrist this morning. My therapist suggested one with laces for a nice adjustable fit but my insurance told me only velcro was covered. The place told me they only carried the velcro type. Well I am wearing the one they gave me and it has laces connected to a velcro tab that is pulled tight and fastened. I just changed my theme to Summer. I love this cheery background that makes me feell all summery. I had another theme up and then I didn't even have one just used the plain. But the background inspires and encourages me. I am so glad we have these to choose from. Ilike this on so much.
