A great day!

We've had a pretty good day today. Oliver loves the outdoors and his beagles. So we loaded them up this morning and went to the woods to let them run. Oliver did great and he enjoyed it so much. Of course, we both took a 2-hour nap when we returned. A lot of folks told me that we need to get rid of his beagles as that was something else I had to take care of. But he loves them and getting rid of them to me was just accepting defeat. Our hopes and prayers are that he will soon be able to take care of them himself. Until then, I'll continue doing what I have to do. We are hoping to make it to church in the morning. I hope everyone has a great Sunday, give all praises to the Lord, without him we can do nothing. I am so glad you both enjoyed your outdoor together with your beagles.I am glad you did not get rid of them. It will be good goal for Oliver to chieve & I am sure he would love to reach that milestone sooner.

Judy, That sounds like a wonderful day. A day outside in the fresh air with your sweetie. It can't get better than that! Keep the beagles if you can handle taking care of them and he loves them. I'm sure they make him smile. Have a wonderful Sunday and a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Sounds like a great way to spend a day.I have a mixed mutt but he loves to run free in the woods,I sit on a tree trunk and watch. He returns and lays at my feet.Iagree its a great day.I agree its the Lord who is in control. Now if he will keep our focus on Him and not on our 'problem' which is only a different way of life

Judy: Bruce's Rehab had Pet Therapy. I can't tell you how excited he was on Thursdays, when the dogs were coming. He enjoyed it better than ice cream day-lol.

Bruce's college roommates advised me for months to please get him a pet. I realized I did not have the time or energy to train a puppy or dog, but Kira-adult cat-came along at just the perfect time. She was seven, long-hair, tricolor (and yes, knows exactly how pretty she is-lol), litter box trained, declawed in the front. All she wants to do is sit with you and be adored! Which is why her family had to give her up. She would not stay out of the infant's crib. Must have broken their hearts, but they are so thankful they found us.

If you can do it, yes do keep his beagles. They will give Oliver incentive to do things that you can not. They love with no boundaries or strings, give him comfort and company. We also volunteer at the local Animal Shelter. Bruce can now walk the older dogs-Bruce is WC bound but can propel himself and grooms and gives treats to the cats. His job last spring was the kitten room. They want the kittens to be comfortable with humans and his job was just to hold, cuddle and pet. Now there is a job for all of us!

You day sounded wonderful and I am so happy you both enjoyed. Nothing like fresh air and romping puppies. Best, Debbie
