VERTIGO! Just What l Don't Need

LadyRose

Every morning, since July 4th, I've had episodes of severe dizziness upon sitting from a sleeping position (like being on a fast-spinning carnival ride).

Yesterday, I was diagnosed with Vertigo. Just what I don't need right now! And, of course, my fatigue is worsening too. I just want to sleep, all the time, forever.

No, I don't believe that was a statement resulting from severe depression, don't worry, I'm not thinking of ending my life. I'm just so tired of being tired and disabled...I wish I could sleep it off and awaken refreshed and renewed.

Hi LadyRose, I heard in your voice "enought already". After my stroke I haded terriable fatigue. I was so anemic, that the nurse said 'if i knew what blood was, because I haded none", my iron was so low, plus I haded other issuses! So have you gone and got blood drawn?

Next, we understand about you feeling sick of feeling tired and disable. I remember just waking up and never going out of my bedroom , because i say for what? LadyRose, when i got away from that mindset, I started getting out of my bed clothes, just going out my front door and feeling the fresh air on my skin, seeing people , it helped! I did get pills, but my postive attuitde helped and I did not stay on then for long.

Please let us know how you are getting on.

You are in my prayers

I also have periods of vertigo. up from a sleeping position suggests what they call "benign positional vertigo" it may be benign but it is not fun! one time I had the room spinning like a helicopter. there is no option but to vomit.

I went to ear doctor and he did what they call "eply maneuver". you probably know all this already.

mine goes away after a while and then comes again. part of life I guess.

good luck with that.

So sorry you were diagnosed with vertigo! Life post stroke just plain out stinks and sucks! Always diagnosed with something else bad! I am like you, I would love to wake up feeling refreshed and renewed-- one can dream I guess.

Prayers and wishing you luck on dealing with this among all the other issues! Vertigo is something I have no experience with and hopefully never will have. I have heard it is awful though. I am no hope, just wanted to give prayers and hope!

I had that diagnose at one time and soon went to work at Walmart as a greeter on my scooter then I was diagnosed with something else I don't remember right now but they gave me pills for it...

I hope you get over it soon and everything will be back to normal before you know it....
