Good Place To Start

It's been a long time since I've visited the Strokeboard. No excuses, I just haven't, but this morning I ran across the following quote and thought it was a good place to start the weekend...to start and finish any day!

“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms — to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” - Viktor Frankl

Attitude is everything. It affects everything we do, why not make it work for you rather than against you. Live

re-abled! What can you do today that you couldn't do yesterday? Even the smallest of accomplishments matter!

So true, attitude is everything but when we are having a blue day it is easy to say but not so easy to put into practice.  Thanks for posting it , it is a good reminder of the options we have.

That's so true, HostSue and the key word is practice. Practice, practice, practice. That may be what it takes for positive attitudes to overtake the often more familiar and less helpful negative ones. Especially when we are depressed or under duress. I've been there, too.

I read Viktor'Frankl'sbook Mans Search for Meaning and it is really a great read. He tells his story about being in concentration camps and wondering how some survived and others gave up.  He decided there is a new psychology surrounding meaning therapy.  Kind of like the thought that man can endure anything if he had meaning in his life.

May we all find some meaning today.

Thanks for sharing this!
