incredible blessing

While volunteering yesterday, I talked to an elderly woman about the patient portal.

We chatted about a number of things, I gave her the cliff note version of my health scare 2.5 years ago, and my lastest blessing of having my poetry published in the newsletter.

she asked if I had any with me, I said no, but I offered to recite "Darkness to Light", in June's newsletter.

Her comments were humbling.

She Said," oh that was so beautiful, thank you for sharing, that has inspired me.

I replied" thank you for your kind words, you are an inspiration to me.

She Said" God Bless you and I cant wait to see you on yhe other side, I'll be looking for your poetry"

I was so moved I had to exit the room and wipe away the tears.

That was such a beautiful example of human connection, what compassion

all I can say is thank you god for the gift of writing and the gift to gab.

be blessed and be a blessing

Jay, glad to read this blog and how you are an inspiration to others and that always makes their day more pleasant.... We all have to get to the other side one day and perhaps meet up again, who knows?!!

Dark as my path may seem to others, I carry a magic light in my heart. Faith, the spiritual strong searchlight, illumines the way, and although sinister doubts lurk in the shadow, I walk unafraid toward the enchanted wood where the foliage is always green, where joy abides, where nightingales nest and sing, and where life and death are one in the presence of the Lord.
