Physch test question

Guest

Yesterday I was talking with Charles/cbramsey. He had had a physch test done and one of the questions was what does a statue and poem have in common? Now, this has driven me nuts for close to 24 hours now. Does anyone else have the answer? Sandy? Do you know? One other one I knew the answer to was

Monarchy

Republic

I thought that was easy---England.

I guess I don't get the purpose of these type of tests. Unless they are designed with the sole purpose to make one lay awake at night trying to figure it out.

That was my thought also..they are both forms of art or the artistic expression of the person????

I think you did better on the Monarchy/Republic than I would have done.

Hi Pam

I think the question is meant to see if you can draw a parellel between two seemingly very different things. These two things---a poem and a statue---are creative works of art. But the point of the question is can you use logic to come up with a logical answer.

PAM,

MY FIRST IMPULSE TO THAT WAS "THEY ARE BOTH NON VERBAL PIECES OF WORK WHICH COME FROM THE TALENT, OR LACK THEREOF, OF AN ARTIST'S HEART." MY SECOND THOUGHT WAS"WHO CARES"? LOL

'statue' and 'poem' are forms of artistic expression, statue with visual art, poem with written art. they are both fixed, concrete expressions meant to convey the feelings/state of mind/etc of the artist

'monarchy' and 'republic' are forms of government

this is a 'similarities' test. you are supposed to use abstract thinking/reasoning to tease out what the image represented by the word have in common. it's a test of abstract thinking

ps-what do Angel.gif and wicked.gif have in common?

My answer is both works of art in different perspectives.

My spouses answer is they "both" have titles as a common thing!

He has a high IQ level that's why I asked him.

Don't know if this is your answer or not!

Pam,

i would have said monarch and republic are the opposite of each other, but they are both types of rule

the same with poem and statue one is visual one is written but they are both forms of art

Not sure how well i would have done. How long was the test. i would probably still be there.

I would like to know more

Take care
