Dirty little secrets

Guest

I don't know if it is just me, but this site doesn't have many secrets that can be kept quiet or someone not figuring it out.... Like come on, I'm not completely stupid and a name change does not change a personality or how they write. Duh! How clever does one think they are?

The meladrama that happens around here, could win an oscar sometimes. Some are just so phony with claims of friendship, undying admiration and supportive ego stroking. Give me a friggin break, get a life and if you have this flair for the dramatics, we're on the east coast, hollywood is on the west coast. Sorry but your lives are not that important in the grand scheme of things, at least not to me. Now where are the M&M's?

Pam,

Can't people be on this site because they want to help others? -

Does it matter WHO in the realm of cyberspace you really are ?

Is one survivor better than another?

If I use my real name and somebody else doesn't - should that make a difference?

Who you were yesterday, does not make you who you are today.

You are the "Queen of Survivors" - you should know that.

Sometimes life is not all melodrama and soap opera's.

Sometimes, it is just life.

Our need, as people trying to connect with others that have shared similar experiences, transcends our need to be anonymous in some cases. And in some cases, you can only achieve TRUE and HONEST empathy through anonominity.

In some aspects, this place isn't Hollywood --- it's home.

For the frightened, the misguided, the forgotten, the injured, even the realists hoping to make this world a better place. We're here for them because it wasn't too long ago that we were them.

Would you or I like it to be otherwise?

You're lack of compassion is probably just a need for chocolate.

Vicki,

My lack of compassion is just my gag reflex reacting. Yeah, my lack of compassion- you trying to BS me that they want to be here? Like they weren't banned or asked to leave they choose that. So why the name change? Why is it necessary?

I thought we were so narrow minded, so if that's the case, why do they desire to be here? Or is this just another part, where you kiss a cheek in friendship but the lips never touch the cheek. It is nothing more then going threw the motions, say it like it is vicki, don't phony it all up to appear to be what it isn't. If she was such a dear friend, then hmmmmmmm why didn't she stay in touch off the site?

Vicki, what I say has nothing to do with sincere legitimate stroke support, but all the rest of the high school games, well lets call that like it is.

Pam

PS. If I could clap using both hands I would over the impassioned soliquey. I still don't buy it.

Sister Pam

i think that the majority of people are on this site for support, or information, or to try to help others who are in a more acute situation that they are currently in, or all of the above.

in every organization, or group, or family, there are always those that take actions that are attention-seeking, or racist, or cruel, or all of the above. :sleazy: these people are, unfortunately, just acting human. all of us have a little bit of attention-seeking, or racism, or cruelty, in us, but seek to contain it because we know that such actions are inappropriate and hurtful, and such thoughts are based on our own issues :Ponder: . those that do not choose to do that are best left unacknoledged and ignored  .

sister, we have better things to do with our time, like eat chocolate and shop for shoes and bling on ebay. :giggle:

I don't know who you are talking about but let's leave at that, but people come here for support and interaction with others, and not always we can get along with everyone but its big world and big site let them lead their own life and we stay out of theirs if we don't like them, and they should have little brain to stay out of our way but what can we say here all of us who come here comeswith unique brain damage and that social skills broken to understand the limits. I agree with Sandy lets eat great food and do spome shopping online

Excuse me Pam -

but, I didn't realize you were both the judge and jury on this site.

If I offended your greatness, I humbly apologize.

Let's put it out here for everyone.

I love Kim - we lost touch - you were asked if you knew what happened to her - you denied knowing anything - you lied to me and you were the one who was covert.

(Maybe George W will hire you. I hear he appreciates those that can keep a secret.)

In my opinion, Get real - live and let live.

Everyone here has as much as a stake in their "survivorship' as you do! You are NOT the queen and you have no right to judge anyone else...

You offended me in your reference to "'air kisses" -

I'm in Wisconsin not California - perhaps you like to sniff our dairy air -

Vicki,

When you only hear one side of a story, you don't have a clue what REALLY happens in any given situation. But I can tell you that ALL problems that arise here on this site are reviewed thoroughly by upper management and all sides of the story are solicited and listened to before any judgements are made. It's a long, time-consuming and thoughtful process.

Middle management staff members here have their hands tied by confidentiality rules that we HAVE TO abide by when it comes to sharing what they know when members leave on their own or are asked to leave this site. And with good reason. Few people really want their dirty linen aired in public and it's not fair to any innocent members who might get caught in the cross-fire. So, don't be hard on Pam because she did not tell you something that could have gotten her in trouble if she'd have answered your questions about other members' disappearances. It's called gossip control and upper management takes that directive seriously. I suggest we all do the same.

OH GOODNESS.

I FEEL LIKE I GOTTA GO AWAY AGAIN. MY GOAL IS TO HELP NOT HENDER. I WAS NOT ASKED TO LEAVE OR "BANNED". IF I HAD BEEN I WOULD HAVE NEVER COME BACK AS A "FRAUD". I JUST MISSED THE SITE AND THE PEOPLE.

STEVE SAID I WAS WELCOMED BACK ANYTIME AS I ******RESIGNED******** MAYBE THAT IS NO LONGER TRUE, I WILL HAVE TO ASK HIM. THE PARTY IN QUESTIOM COULD HAVE NOT ANSWERED THE QUESTION ABOUT ME AS SHE DIDN'T KNOW. SHE HAD NO SPECIAL "INSIGHT", AS IT WERE. SO IN THAT RESPECT, SHE IS BLAMELESS. STEVE AND I KNOW AND PERHAPS A FEW OTHERS HE CONFIDES IN, I'M NOT SURE.

I HAVE RESPECT FOR ALL MEMBERS HERE AND HOPE YOU GUYS WILL ACCEPT ME AGAIN AS I FEEL I HAVE MUCH TO OFFER AS WELL AS I NEED SUPPORT AS WELL. I AM NOT PLAYING GAMES, ****I NEED YOU GUYS**************** ( MOST OF YOU ANYWAY.)

Kim,

I was commenting in general and not talking about you at all. I know for a fact that you were not asked to leave and that you are still welcome here by Steve, myself and many others. As for Pam not knowing the full details about your resignation, she is middle management, just like I am, and is fully made aware of all member situations that occur on this site, your resignation included.

As I suggested in my last comment, let's all move on, ladies and gentlemen.

People come and go on this site.. some are here only a short time, some here for quite awhile...but we all come here to interaact, ask questions and find support from people with similar liabilities as ourselves.... we understand what other survivors/caregivers are going through. Hard to find understand from people that have not been touched by stroke in their lives.

Sometimes people leave.. for various reasons, just need a break , illness in the family, just to get their lives together, working on a new relationship.... but we are here to support and help each other along this bumpy road. I don't think we are here to judge ... I think the goal of this site is to reach out. and if one of us leaves and comes back I think it is a happy reunion ...

I lost track of a high school friend. we just found each other two weeks ago... we are delighted to catch up and to find each other again.

I'm not partial one way or another but "fake ID's" are a problem where ever you encounter them.

If someone leaves and comes back it's probably more appropriate to let others who are new to the site know that you were once here and then left and have come "home".

So Stan and Kim, welcome home.

I have two questions:

Question #1 Who is Stan ??

Question #2 Who is Kim ??

Denny

PS: There are, at last count, over 4500 registered members on this site. Just HOW MANY are 'imposters', meaning people who 'were asked to leave' but have 'came back, under an 'alias' that Management doesn't know about? :uhm:
