Feeling lonely today..

Hi Everyone!

today is a funny (strange) day. I got up early and went with my hubby to take his mom to a plastic surgeon. She had a cancer removed from her upper lip and wants reconstructive surgery done. The trip took 7 hours. Now that I am home and alone.. doing some laundry.. I feel so lonely.

I have moods like this almost daily.

I don't know what to do about it.

Ugh.. maybe I need a nap.. but I don't want to be up half the night either... so.. don't know.

thought I would come here and find something to read and maybe comment.

But.. I don't feel like I am very good company sigh..

guess I have the dulldrums.

Well.. I hear the dryer calling my name and the washer wants sox.. so off I go!

chat ya all later!

*hugs*

Billie Jo, you are doing fine. Loneliness is something we all feel from time to time. My solution is to keep busy. Because I like to read, listen to music, do handcrafts etc I can bury myself in those and time passes quickly. Maybe compile a list of small things you can do when you feel that lonesome feeling and just take something off the list to do as you fancy it.

We women do like company and that is what chat is about so come to chat when you can and share some of the fun there, there is always room for one more!

I too get that lonely feeling sometimes, especially because I am alone during the day Monday thru Friday. But I do keep myself busy whether it's exercising, doing bills/paperwork, on computer, etc., so the lonely feeling vdoes not last long. As Sue says, come to chat more, we'll keep you company. We may get silly at times and crazy but we are a blast!

Billie Jo,

The ho-hums are quite normal. I'm almost 3 years post. I keep occupied primarily on the computer during the day plus listening to music. I to am home alone Monday through Friday as my daughter is in High School. I also love to read. Please do come to chat - we have a terrific time.

HI Billie Jo, Yes, I think getting used to being home takes a bit. I found this site and it has helped a lot.I do drive so I can get out.. if I feel like putting the effort in.... otherwise I come here and read or post. I volunteer here, so I do put in computer time. There are chats here .. most days from 3 to 4 pm EST and 8 to 9pm Est. It is a great way to make friends and socialize.

Hey Billie Jo-- I get the doldrums when I have to do laundry and clean the house, too! There is logic to your mood. Somehow, I would much prefer to be out shopping instead of paying bills.

When you hit a low point, think of something that will make you feel better. Read a book? Write in a journal? Call a friend? If you have a pet, they are always up for a pet and some sweet nothings whispered in their ears.

Life is what you make of it. Do what you like that makes you happy. I only have one suggestion: don't leave the clothes in the washer machine for too long, they start to stink. So after getting them into the dryer, go play. :) Take Care. LK

hi billie joe, i do understand how you feel. i look forward to any outing i get, but when its over and i am back home the depression and loneliness sets in. i to am alone alot of the time but i do have someone come in 3xweek to help me do things i cannot do and for the company. but its not family. i try to keep busy on my puter with my volunteer work. and doing things i can do but i miss my old life and me the way i was so i have those moments once in awhile. it does pass quickly, then i go on to something that makes me happy. please do try and come into chat more often it does help the moods.
