cory Posted May 25, 2009 LENNY, I AM ONE OF THE LUCKY STROKESURVIVORS. HAD MY STROKE FEB. O8. I LOST MY LEFT SIDE. ARM LEG HAND FOOT. ICOULD STAND. I SPENT THREE WEEKS IN ROCHESTER ST. MARYS. STARTED THE LONG ROAD BACK. I WAS LUCKY I GOT STRONGER AND COULD MOVE ARMS AND FINGERS ANDFEET. JUST BECAUSE YOU COULD MOVE ARMS FINGERS FEET DOSENT MEAN YOUR STRONGER. AFTER SIX MONTHS I GOT MOVEMENT BACK. THEN AFTER NINE MONTHS I STARTED TO GET STRENGHTBACK. BUT SOME PARTS OF YOUR BODY CAN GET WEAKER. I WORK VERY HARD AT EXERSIZE AND STREACHING AND WALK ONE MILE TWICE A DAY. I AM ALSO A TRIM CARPENTER AND WORK 6 TO7 HOURS A DAY . ITS HARD TO READ ABOUT STROKESURVIVORS ON STROKE NET. I FEEL SO BAD FOR THEM. I CANT TELL THEM WHAT I DID BECAUSE MOST OF THEM COULD NOT DO IT. AND COULD THEY GET STRONGER? PLUSS YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET HURT. PLEASE TAKE THIS MESSAGE IN GOOD WAY I WISH EVERYONE COULD GET BETTER. I AM SORRY YOU READ THIS. BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAY. JUST VENTING CORY Quote Link to comment
fking Posted July 4, 2010 Hey Lenny, My friend, I read your story and your progress, man, you have come a long way. I'm beginning to walk without my quad cane. In fact, I will switch to my single point cane for the curbs and stairs. This PT session is really working for me, I'm so happy, but I credit you for telling me not to give up! Keep on pushing!
