Angie Wimberly

Angie W.

Hello to all, I know this is a place to tell so here we go-My husband and I at first was told we could have no more kids so this one was a shock, we found out we were pregnant and all excited. It was a warm Saturday evening, a nice day all considered the same old day as usual. I went to bed and when I woke up I could not move my left side (I was 6 and 1/2 months pregnant at this time). My husband called "911", they came out, took me to the hospital and I went and was in the hospital for a week. I came home in a wheel chair and struggled from then on. I am 36 years old now with a 13 year old daughter and a now 1 year old little boy. I have struggled for a long time, but with being young and my struggles have gotten me stronger everyday, so today I now walk with a cane. I still can not carry my son nor can I walk with him in my arms :( , but someday soon he will walk on his own. That is my story I dont have much to tell, I was just 1 out of 10,000 pregnant women to have a stroke while pregnant that in itself is depressing :( .

Angie, Thanks for sharing your story. What a beautiful little boy you have. You can't carry your son, but at least you are alive, getting stronger, and able to enjoy your son and your handsome husband.

My best, MaryJo
