    two years on

Congratulations to you both on the hard work which has contributed to your recovery as well as your positive attitudes. I am 11 years post stroke and continue to improve although much more slowly now than in the first few years I am concentrating on my fitness (stamina) just now, using a recumbent exercise bike daily.
  6. My prayers will be with you Sue. Please ask Shirley to let us all know how the operation goes
  7. Have you got an electric blanket Sue? Time to get it out. Have you tried walking down the stairs backwards -I take it that you only have a handrail on one side of the stairs - hence the going down sideways. Iam saying some prayers for you - don't forget your guardian angel Cheers Elizabeth

    Beautiful baby!
  9. Such good news for you Sue. You'll be glad to get rid of those pressure stockings soon - thank goodness we are getting some cooler weather.
  10. Your story will inspire many to keep going. You are a role model.
  11. As you no doubt know by now, it is going to be very hot next week. Keep the fluids up as you enjoy time with Trevor and Alice and take in a few movies in air conditioned comfort. Cheers Elizabeth Carter

Hey, thanks for that. I Just found this message by accident and hope it was this year since there is no date on it.

Have we corresponded? I can't recall your name?

  14. Maybe it's time to consider moving to a retirement village where there would be companionship with independence. There's one in your old stomping ground of Morpeth and many others to choose from.
  15. I always enjoy reading your blog Sue; you write well. Your blog makes me feel I'm hearing from a friend and how you live, helping so many others, inspires me. I wish I lived just around the corner so I could pop in, but ah well. Keep on writing. Regards Elizabeth
  16. I'm so glad you will have Trevor and Alice to stay soon and glad that you seem so much better.
  17. Very glad to see you back Fred. Your blogs always give me hope for an active future despite my stroke in 2008 which left my left side weak. I too use a scooter to get around in the community and I am supported by a wonderful husband just as you are supported by your wife.
  18. Happy Anniversary elizabethc!

    Graham McCulloch

Hi Graham, Ithink I met you at a conference in Newcastle and spoke with you on the phone a few times after that . I am pleased to read your life is going well and that operations have worked for you. Imoved to Sydney years ago and we lost contact. I can walk very slowly with a stick but have no use of my left arm/hand (no spasticity either) I will send you my phone number and email in a private message on this site so we might contact again.
