  4. Linda, When I learned I had a stroke while hopitalized in a coma it never crossed my. About a month after my husband had been researching comas on the internet and he shared the likely of 2nd strok. Then I worrked, anxiety, depression, FEAR set in. Fortunately, through therapy and finding an online support community I learned to live and not carry the fear daily. Yes I know the possibilty of a 2nd stroke is higher for me. But I won't limited on a daily basis in Fear. I live and I'm gonna make the most of it. Remember, God saved your life for a reason, find that reason and let it lead you to a new purpose. Frankie
  5. I wanted to mix things up a bit. Much of Maya's books are expanded poetry on the same subject so be prepared if you read Phenomenal Woman or Why the Caged Bird Sings. She has some books that deal with social issues so read the description to make sure you don't wind up with a book filled with poetry. NolKay and I were sharing our personal Mantra and when I saw heres I knew it was perfect for the blog asked her permissio to share on the blog and she said yes without hesitation. That is what I love about this group they are here to support in any way they can. Asha find that mantra and recite it before you even open your eyes to push those negative thoughts right out! Any thoughts for entries in the blog please share I want to make it appealing to the broadest group possibled Love ya

  9. I've only read two but loved both. When the Caged Bird Sings and Phenomenal Women both were awsome. I also had a book of poetry I'm gonna have to research that one. Read it in College. I have a bunch of others of her's that I will be using but that one jumped off the page spoke to me. Glad you liked it I told you I would get more Maya just for YOU! Frankie

  12. I'm glad you found them and appreciate the feedback. As this site/community helped me when I first found it I wanted to help others. The community has helped emerge from the dark and start accepting the new me and life. So thank you. I never blogged before but I've been told by the friends I've made here that I have a positive outlook and that comes from my faith in Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior and reading quotes and scriptures that inspire me. So you will never see any rants only inspiring scripture and quotes. I mix it up so hopefully there is something for everyone. God Bless you and keeping coming back.

Not all the quotes will be the inspiration they may need that I why I include a variety to hopefully provide something that speaks to different folks. New post today with a variety.   15. Achandra, You say to me I'm so positive and reading faith based books, research inspiring quotes is how I've managed it. I thought if it helped me so maybe others may find the things I look up may help them. I include general inspirational quotes, not only faith based to have a little something for everyone. So far, I find it has given me a daily purpose. Thanks for being an inspiring person in my life. Frankie
