About Me

on the night of my stroke I woke up at 2am to use the rest room.I sat up in bed to find my right arm involuntarily moving all around so I grabbed the  Bureau to stand and them realized my right leg was acting the same and had no balance. My bladder was still calling so I made my way  to the restroom. I managed to get to my feet holding the furniture and stood holding the wall and doorway to cross the hall to the bathroom.  I live with my brother who was sleeping at the other end of the house. after I was done, I had to make it to the floor and crawl across the tile floor with nothing to hold onto . so I crawled over and got into a chair and called for help. That's when I found I coudlnt talk right all slured . Im ok I said im ok . but my brother call 911 right away. lucky  im just a few minutes from a heart and stroke hospital. thing were really hazy,, but I did a lot of projectile vomiting .  I had a cat scan.  I still couldn't walk so they got me a commode chair next to my bed so after visiting hour due to modesty I figured I can do this on my own and I did make it did make it over and down to the chair but then I had to twist and get up to the bed hight.  I was half way over when I felt myself loose balance and going forward. and couldn't stop and landed on my face looking out the door of the room , I saw a male nurse waking by and he said are you alright." oh ya im fine " I went back fir a second cat scan after that.  the next day I had a echocardiaghram  where they stick a camera  (  like a ultra sound with a pregnant mother)  down my throught to look at my heart.   they say I have a clot from  pfo leaky valve in the heart that bypasses the lungs when your in the womb. I didn't have insurance so they got rid of me after a week when I could walk with a walker. I had a visiting nurse pt and speech thereapist but that didn't last long . I went to a heart specialist but he said the leak didn't warrant plugging.
