Hello. I had my Stroke last May 2011.  I am 37 yrs old. My carotid artery disected in my neck. I was training for a triathlon. I lost mobility on the left side of my body, and my speech was affected. I was first in a wheelchair, then upgraded to a quad cane, now I am walkin without any assisted devices. I still have no use of my left hand, arm,  or fingers. I have Spasticity in my muscles which causes my arm to draw up, and fingers clench in a fist. Recently, I've had Botox injections in my arm/fingers/leg/toes to help "release", "relax" those tight muscles, which has been helping me in therapy. I am actively working on getting myself back. I have joined this website for support and information. To learn and to share.
