About Me

One December 28, 1996, while skiing, I suffered a hemorrhagic brainstem stroke. For 8 years I was unable manage

My own affairs. Then, I tried to go to work, only to be fired from seven jobs for not being able to perform the task I was assigned. A finally found a job that I could do, only because of the contacts I made before the stroke. In 2004, I began writing a journal with use of Dragon NaturallySpeaking. Finally, in 2010 I retired due to medical conditions, but continued to write. Into 2012, a short story that I wrote titled "Speed," was published in the anthology titled "My Wheels." In March 2014, I co-authored a novel entitled "Glimpse of Sunlight," based on the life of Jonathan Dickinson who lived in Jamaica during the 17th century. The novel immediately reached The Amazon best-selling list of Caribbean and South American novels. I am currently writing the next book of the series which is set on the East Coast of Florida. I can only write with voice recognition technology, as I am now using on my iPad. Over the last 20 years I have faced many challenges, and would like to share how I turned challenges into opportunities with recent survivors. I have empathy for those who have recently survived strokes.
