  1. Hey LG You have some awesome responses there, lots to think about and maybe act on. I get where you are coming from with the "got your back" thing. Lots of people used to say to me they could get hit by a bus tomorrow... Don't know about you, but I don't know any maniacal bus drivers ready to run over unsuspecting pedestrians for no reason!! I haven't got your back...What I have got is empathy and compassion. We all do. So very glad you have found us, and willing to talk / vent. It's good for the soul. 💚👑
  2. Thanks everyone. Glad to know all is well... 💚👑

Very nice. We would think you were a shady type here, because as Heather says, Australia is yet to catch on. 💚👑
  4. With everything that's going on everywhere, would everyone mind posting here... When people are checking the site but not commenting, I miss them and worry if they are ok. Even an "I'm ok" is fine... 💚👑
  5. LG if you need help, advice or to be cheered up, we got you. 💚👑

Thank you Asha. It has been difficult, I just want to cry every time he does. I'm holding it together for him. 💚👑
  7. Oh LG...that's tough. Your great love for him is amazing. Thanks for sharing your journey. I agree with Heather. Tough love coming up! 💚👑

Connor has a parrot, native to Western Australia. Bobby, a red breasted Scarlett Parrot. Tuesday we noticed Bobby wasn't well so took him to the vet. Birds are known to hide their illness and only show symptoms when it's too late. That happened. The vet gave us medication for 10 days, not to fix him but to make him comfortable. Poor baby, he died tonight. Connor was, and still is, inconsolable. All I want to do is say the right thing, do the right thing. All I can do is hug him. I hope it's enough. I feel so helpless. 💚👑
  11. We went to the cemetery the other day to see Wayne's dad and my cousin Jason. Wayne doesn't often want to go to see his dad, makes him sad. It was the first time I'd seen Jason since he died, and now I get how Wayne feels. I was quite down for the rest of the day. I like to go see Wayne's dad and my grandparents in both Northampton and Busselton, as I want them to know they are missed. I'm a Christian, and believe in eternal life; I also think visiting the place I said goodbye to people shows how much they meant to me. 💚👑
  12. Willis if I need to talk to someone at the bank, or insurance company etc, and know there's going to be thinking involved, I quite often tell them I have brain damage. Makes the conversation so much easier, from both points of view. 💚👑
  13. Jana No one here will EVER tell you to 'get over it' or to 'buck up'. We are here for support and love. We got you 💚👑

    Road Trip

We had such a good time! I'm exhausted, but it was well worth it. There were 11 of us staying in the cottage, and two were there just for Saturday. I think the trip was just what Jennelle wanted. 💚👑

    Road Trip

Pinjarra is 5 1/2 hours from home. Jennelle is my very best friend; we went to the UK together in 1994 and were away for two years. When she married Jeffrey in 1997 I was her chief bridesmaid. When Wayne and I married in 1999 she was my chief bridesmaid. Wayne and I are their eldest daughter's godparents and Jennelle and Jeffrey are Carrah's godparents. This whirlwind trip will take it out of me, but there was no way I was missing it. We are on the bus for 4 1/2 hours, then Jennelle will pick us up in Perth for the last hour. Can't wait to see her.
  16. My beautiful friend Jennelle is 50. Carrah and I are off to Pinjarra to spend the weekend with Jennelle and her three daughters.

Kev that's awesome. Kudos to you for keep on keeping on. Well worth it! Hairs all good...just reliving the 70s! 💚👑
  18. Mark, Riley is just gorgeous. What a beautiful happy smile he has! He will be having adventures over that bridge...so sorry your handsome boy is no longer with you. Heather, my Riley is looked upon with my rose coloured glasses, that I cannot deny, but I definitely think the lead idea is a great one. Will discuss it with Wayne, as he'll have to be part of the training. 💚👑
  19. Heather the cartoon is the perfect analogy for face masks. I think if anyone is offended it means they aren't wearing their face mask properly! 💚👑
  20. Absolutely Heather. We as a state, joked about Victoria. A lot. Now, everyone is like Wow, serious stuff. Hopefully it'll be under control soon. 💚👑
  21. Good idea Heather, we have a beautiful foreshore footpath that goes for about 6 kilometres. It's just down the road. We could definitely do that. The only trouble is yes, once she's been out on Henry she thinks every time I go out, she's coming! 💚👑
  22. Heather that's slightly wicked!! But true!! Mark, I'm with you on the routine side of things. I go great guns, then once a month when Wayne does night shift on the weekend and we keep quiet during the day, so he can sleep. Routine out the window! Keep at it! 💚👑
  23. Not seeing family and friends was the hardest thing for me during our short lockdown. I didn't feel isolated though, as there's four of us plus 7 pets! Then 11 aquariums. I missed church, but as I stay home a fair bit and make cards etc, not a great deal changed. I think that's why so many of us here in the West are so complacent. Yesterday there were two cases in the whole state. We aren't really living with Rona. 💚👑
  24. Sue, exactly!! We have too many pets, but we love them all. 💚👑
