  1. Sorry...thanks for your kind thoughts.

Not having power was no fun. Very grateful though, all we lost was food.

Northampton and Kalbarri not so lucky.

Friends in Three Springs lost their shearing shed.

Unfortunately I'm on the Geraldton Noticeboard on Facebook.  One person might say, oh it's terrible having no power. They would be bombarded with negative comments about counting themselves lucky they still have a house etc.  I feel that having a stroke, and knowing that people are worse off, doesn't help. We all have individual crosses to bear, and the cyclone was no different.

The government gave out money to assist.  The complaining people did about others being greedy.  Well we applied and received $400. We had to totally restock our fridge and freezer.

All the fighting and arguments left me quite depressed.

    But we survived.

  2. Happiest of anniversaries to you and Deb!

Glad you had a lovely day!

My mother in law always says it's just another day.  I think it's what you make it.

That lovely breakfast is a great way to celebrate a very special occasion!

  3. Riley is eating by herself again,  thank goodness.

She's still sleeping in her basket next to my side of the bed.  I think we both love that!

We have discovered life without Lucy is possible, different, but possible.

  4. Tracy

Thank you for trusting us with your story.

When I say HUGS, I don't mean the quick almost touching but not quite type, I mean the type where no one wants to let go, and where strong arms make you feel safe, like everything is going to be ok.

Your analogy was amazing, I really think you nailed it.

Love you long time, my beautiful friend

  5. Thank you so much ladies.

I think the suddenness of it all is what shocked us all.

Riley, the puppy, is grieving terribly. I had to hand feed her her dinner tonight.

We also have her sleeping inside now.

The pets have been great, they understand our sadness.

My eyes are still sore from crying.

And dirty! Don't forget the downside!! Does make it hard to keep my feet clean!

I just bought this thong thing that sticks to the bottom of the shower and has bristles for cleaning feet.

My bad foot spasms badly when I use it.

At least my good foot is clean!

    🤣
