  5. Hi Tom,

    Gald your here!

  6. Happy Birthday tom71!

  7. Chuck, I've had a couple seizures in the last year too, I didn't have my first one untill I was 6 years post stroke and now I've had two in the last year, my doctor said mine was probably caused by the scarring on the brain and physical exhaustion by changing my work schedule from a dayshift schedule to a nightshift schedule, anyhow he put me on Keppra, which is an antiseizure medicine, used for eppilepsi. God Bless, tom

Phill, I don't want to influence your decision in any way, because we all are different in our stages of recovery, but for me after taking two years off for recovery I decided to go back to work, and it has greatley improved my mental and physical health, mentally I'm much sharper now than I was while sitting at home, physically I have gained alot of strength and endurance, and I have lost approx 60lbs since returning to work, however there are some drawbacks,i have fallen 2 or 3 times at work and have developed epilepsi(seizures) likely caused by physical exhaustion after being switched from a dayshift position that was 6:00am-2:30pm to a 4:00pm to 2:30am postion.also I have been suffering more and more pain in my left foor from being on my feet for 10hours a day,so honestly search your own soul and decide what is best for you and your family and do it. Best of Luck to you and God Bless, Tom

  13. I'm getting ready to try botox again, eventhough every time I used it in the past all it would do is relax my fingers a little eventhough it was not enough to allow me to extend my fingers on my own, this time my dr. is goind to try a different type botox, type b instead of type a ,i guess we'll see how it works. God Bless, Tom

Twist, I certainly hope I was one of the ones offering my prayers,I usually do and I pray for all of my Strokenet friends daily,I work full time and sometimes don't log on till my days off,so in case I missed your topic, rest assured I'm praying for you while I type this. God Bless You Brother, Tom
