  10. Oh, how I miss going to Daytona for Biketoberfest, just another thing the stroke has taken away, but me with only the use of 1 hand on a bike now would be nuts! Tom
  11. CONTRATULATIONS RICH! I"M SO GLAD TO HEAR THIS TREATMENT IS WORKING FOR YOU! GOD BLESS, TOM
  12. Wendie, Unfortunately at this time it won't be anytime soon, our countries wonderful politicians are holding things up, I see however you are from Tenn, I suggest keep writing Sen Frist, letting him know how important this issue is. God Bless, Tom
  13. Ellen, I too was almost that "lump", but I refused to allow myself to just sit around and vegetate, You may have a form of depression that meds like cymbalta could help with, talk with your doctor and see what he recommends, I was put on Effexor for awhile but it didn't help, I knew the only thing that would make me feel better was returning to work, but being a diesel mechanic with only the use of 1 arm would be impossible, so I started to explore other options for work where I finaly found smething, now I've been back to work 40-60 hours per week for about 4 months and I feel great, tired but great! God Bless, tom
  14. Rich, Bottom line is you should have had the opportunity to decide for yourself weteher or not you wanted the tpa,In one of the above post it was mentioned that the hospital may not want to treat you if you file a lawsuit, however legally they could not refuse you treatment because of you filing a lawsuit, so in my opinion if you feel justified by filing a lawsuit, then by all means file one. God Bless, Tom

    Things are looking up

Fred, I'm so happy things are looking up for you! :Clap-Hands: Yes God is still answering prayers for His people, as we both are prime examples, I too have just returned to work following an extended period off (4 years), where are you working now? God Bless You always! Tom
  20. Mel, I'll continue to pray for your daughter! I hope since you aren't very far away from Indianapolis, she is being treated at Riley Childrens hospital, they have an absolutely wonderful world renowned childrens hospital, and Like Pam's wonderful post says do not put too much trust in the neuropsych test, you can still find something that you can do and live a very productive life doing it! it is all up to you on how bad you want it, and how hard are you willing to work for it. God Bless You, Tom
