    Ziploc Omelets

Denny, this sounds great - & no mess!! Jasco :Clap-Hands: :Clap-Hands:
  2. Plant a couple pepper plants too. Tomatoes love Peppers. You'll nave enough for the neighborhood! Have fun! Hasco
  3. I'd say that ride was an accomlishment!! -(---Where are those smilies when you need 'em!----) my husband would have had some choice things to say, too. But its out of love! You too, Asha; I'd love to peddle, but its too soon. Thumbs up for you both! Jasco
  4. Where there's a will, there's usually a relative! Isn't there sogtware that allows Mac to read MS? Jasco
  5. Amy, Would it work if I send you a prince; you could kiss him & turn him into a toad? Silly stuff! What good do toads do around the house? I like Jean's idea of a little house for them. We used to have a few frogs & 1 salamander- somehow they move on. Cheers! Jasco
  6. By the way, a very MERRY CHRISTMAS to you & yours! Marilyn
  7. Well, Christ is in Christmas as far as I'm concerned! The Happy Holiday thing is something the talking heads on TV get started & idiots feel they must follow. People can't think for themselves anymore it seems. I used to fly a lot (about 50,000mi per year!) & I would observe how people would line up at the gate, going across the room instead of turning so the lineup wouldn't interdere with the other gate or folks trying to find a seat. I've even turned so the lineup could go down the aisle & it didn't work. Its kind of amusing to play games like that. Anyway, to counteract the happy holiday bit; I write Merry Christmas on my bills & even tell :Mgr: I have stopped patronizing your store....you won't get my Christmas money! Where has our individualism gone? I'm a free thinker & thank God my kids are & grandkids, too! Sheeeesh....all this frim a wheelchair; imagine if I had a soapbox!! Marilyn
  8. Sue: I haven't hung clothes in SO long...don't they smell great when you take them down? Sniff, sniff enjoy Jasco
  9. Yeh, those cans are around the house forever once the popcorn is gone. I'm sure you're right about the dates. It was all sort of a blur, but it waas an event one never forgets. Admiral Nimitz' museum in Fredericksburg, TX is one of the best, its in Grandfather Nimitx old hotel., & on display is a hatch door from the USS Arizona & other memorabelia. I just came back from tarranging stock at Wally World..things are hard to reach from a wheelchair but for the most part people are pleasant & offer to help reach for things. Some unauthorized character from Idaho parked in a handicapped space & a customer on her way into the store told the guy to move - there was a $100 fine, of course he had a snippy response. that led my husband to take dowqn the info call the mgr etc etc etc..... Tis the season to be jolly, Fa la la la la la la la la..... Your poem is so cute, by the way ! Cheers, Jasco They tell us it will be 6 degrees tonight!
  10. ....and it was 7 this AM on our front porch! Thats degrees- not time! Phyllis, do you recall what you were doing 64 years ago tomorrow? I will never forget that day, nor how it changed all our lives. Pres. Roosevelt's voice rings in my memory; not his whole speech, but the "days of infamy" part. Funny how certain events are burned into your memory like it happened yesterday. So many things we did for the war effort- and did it gladly. Now these cry babies do everything possible to tear down our country & demoralize our troops. We need to get the American eagle back as our mascot. I remember what I was doing; cutting out paper dolls and asking my Dad , "Whats a war?" Right now I have to get over to Wally-World & mess up some shelves & displays! Marilyn
  11. I AM SO GLAD YOU WROTE THAT BIT ABOUT KNIVES..MY HUSBAND IS ALWAYS SQUACKING (sp?) ABOUT DULL KNIVES, SO I ORDERED SOME THAT ARE NEVER TO DULL, YOU CAN CUT A CEMENT BLOCK & THEY DON'T DULL! BUT NOW I HESITATE TO PUT THEM UBDER THE TREE......MAYBE A BOX OF STEAKS TO GO WITH IT? Jasco

Since the company want you to "retire", which saves them $$$, is it possible for you to agree IF they pay you until you find other employment OR allow time off to find other employment (at full pay, of course). Gary expressed it very well, education never stops! What plans do you have for learning French? Is it work related? This sounds like a money saving measure for the company; so why should you suffer? Wishing you the best of luck, remember...a door closes & another one opens! Jasco

    Thanksgiving Memories

Denny, how could anything you said offend anyone! God DID provide & the folks practiced their religion by helping fellow man! When you see the beautiful country we have, how can anyone deny God? Thanks for sharing your day. Should we all start now to get a jumpstart on next Thanksgiving? Marilyn

    Strokeclub

Isn't it interesting how complacent people can be? It is SO hard to get people out of their daily routine, and yet they claim to be bored. What a great project for you to be involved with, Gary, & someone must have done a study if they came up with stats onstroke survivors. Word will get out & next meeting you may have some other survivors with you. I doubt if there is a stroke survivor/caregiver group here in our city; I'll have to investigate. By the way, those recipes sound dee-lish! Will definately give them a try. Watching the football game today & its snowing...looks so pretty. It's probably snowing up your way, too. I lived for years in Ontario so I'm well acquainted with snow. We get snow in this part of AZ, but usually no more than a total of 3-4 feet. Enjoy, Marilyn
