  1. Rich - I am so glad to hear of this progress for you. Keep up the good work! :Clap-Hands: Autumn
  2. I am glad to hear from you and things are going well. I have been checking for you everyday. Yeah, Rich. Go, Rich, Go. (That is my version of a cheer.) :cheer: Autumn
  3. Kristen, While I was in the rehab part of the hospital my roommate was 94 years old. Although I was 43 she and I seemed to be pretty much on the same recovery rate. She was determined although she had trouble speaking, you could tell by her actions. The occupational therapists put us together for some of the activities. She ended up going to an adult foster home and had to have a certain level of independence to be accepted. I believe that she was in inpatient rehab for 3-4 weeks before being sent to this home. 4. I just wanted to add that about a month after I got home I had the feeling that I was going to die and it made me incredible distraught. I was engaged at the time and am now married. I tearfully told my fiance to not settle for companionship, which he did in his previous relationship but to wait for love that it would come. I guess my point is feeling like you are going to die is not the same thing as actually dying. And it may be that it is a phase of stroke grief that he is in. - Autumn
