Hi to all of you! I have not been around much this past year.. but coming here sometimes makes me feel sad .. so I stayed away for a while.. today I felt I should come here and reunite with some of you and meet some of the newbies. I visited with my dr for my 6 month check up and he said I am remarkable. That made me feel good! I am doing better than anyone expected. (As far as stroke goes) On December 11th of 2008 I suffered a heart attack. I had 100% blockage to my right coronary artery. I could NOT believe it! I told them I had a bad chest cold! haha I am still in denial! But am getting along pretty good. I got to ride in a helicopter! Woo hoo to the Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. I was not all that impressed. haha Anyway.. Now I am in a whole new recovery! I did quit smoking and am now on a heart healthy diet. I don't like fish of any kind and am not fond of white chicken meat.. so not too sure how this is going to go at all.. haha Well.. better get to the dishes and laundry.. take care all! *Hugs* Billie Jo

howdy all!! We did have a great time in Deadwood.. even if we didn't win much gambling.. but then.. everyday is a gamble and I am a winner that way Thanks so much for all the warm wishes regarding my 1st anniversary of stroke survivor I am damn proud of it hehe *hugs* Billie Jo

Hello dear friends at Strokenet Well.. it is getting closer to the anniversary of my first stroke. It all happend on March 20, 2007.. now some of you might wonder why I would celebrate such an occasion.. well.. I have thought long and hard about this.. and I feel that I am due for a big party as a survivor So.. on March 20th I plan to do something in honor of my survival. Jeff (my hubby) and I are leaving tomorrow for the weekend to Deadwood, SD with a few of our friends. I so can't wait!! It has been so nice here lately and I can see spring in the near future.. so getting out with friends is going to be GREAT!! Life has been pretty fair here since my last posts. So with that.. I will tell you that I feel great and am getting around very well all with the help of my therapy and my will power to succeed you all take care and know that I think of you often even if I don't pop on much.. you are all in my thoughts daily Hang in there!! Hi all.. thanks for the comments. We did have a nice dinner and the steak was delish I could eat one a day.. haha anyway.. we had fun Victoria's team didn't do well at state they got 12th out of 12.. she was a little disappointed as would any 15 year old be.. but I told her "HEY silly girl, chin up!! At least you made it to state and that was what you all wanted" She agreed and all is well. LOL They are already planning their routine for next year Hope you all are doing GREAT I think of you all often and pray for you often as well. *hugs* Billie Jo

Howdy folks! I am doing GREAT Today is Valentines Day and I am so excited. hehe. I just know that the hubby has something planned for supper.. haha I know it will involve a nice juicy t-bone steak too hehe. He is so good to me Our daughter's dance team made it to the state competition. We are going to St. Paul tomorrow to watch them perform. I hope they do well! They have had a GREAT year Well.. better get my fancy eatin clothes on.. haha Everyone have a GREAT Valentines DAY!!! *hugs* Billie Jo

Hello Everyone, Sorry I have been absent lately.. well for a long while.. anyway.. I hope everyone had a GREAT Christmas and a Happy New Year. I have had another TIA on December 18th on our way home from Branson Missouri. It affected my left side again.. and I still have numbness in my left hand and mostly in my left foot around the big toe. But I have bounced back from the other strokes and have no doubt I will bounce back from this one. I am now on coumadin so that should help with the clots I been getting. I sure as hell hope so! haha I am doing therapy and have a great attitude most of the time My step dad passed away on Dec 29th from a long bout with cancer. He was the only grandfather my kids ever knew. He will be missed. : ( Anyway I thought I should pop in here and let you all know what has been going on in my world. I have an awesome family and that helps me through this all. As well knowing that I can come here and yak anytime I want.. Or just read up on you all. I thank God for you all everyday.
