Very fun!  What a neat arrangement of a familiar piece.

I was a professional accompanist/vocal coach/choir director before the stroke (still am, but can only handle about 90 minutes of rehearsal, then I'm all done in for that day...or two...or five).  This piece reminds me of a classical piece performed by a high school choir I accompanied.  The piece is called "La LLuvia" (which is Spanish for "the rain").  It starts out with the same rain effects (except for the thunder) the choir above used, then there is actual singing.  It's a haunting, contemporary style music, with the rain continuing throughout the piece.  It was very popular with our audiences.  It was fun to see that same thing used in a very different way!  Plus, I love the energy of this choir - they're obviously very "into" their music and enjoying themselves.  Also, they have a great sound - partly because they're such a large group, which usually makes it hard to perform with the intricate precision required by the syncopated rhythms of pop music, but they sound wonderful!

Okay, I'm done being a "choir geek" - thanks so much for sharing this!
