Anxiety, depression, anger

Willis I think we all have felt kindred in this thread and yes God bless all of my family and friends... They do their best and I have always said "I'm glad they don't get me. If they did then I know they have been on this beast of a journey too and I wish that on no one". I find all of my survivor kindred spirits a blessing. I just know many times exactly how they feel. It's an unspoken knowledge and it's an automatic bonus that I can share with others. Pay it forward. So Carrie you hang in there! You have A LOT of support right here...we've got you (OK we get you 😉).

BTW I'm having some increased anxiety, depression and anger this week. Baby Bella (the kitten who found me) just went into heat for the first time and Kitty and I are beside ourselves! 🙀 Also, after my trip to the Orthopedic specialist yesterday and after getting 3 diagnosis that I can't remember... I am now on a steroid dose pack for 12 DAYS!!! 😭 I haven't slept all night and the darn kitten is now asleep after a whole night if CRAZY! Time for an extra Xanax today.

Jeez. That's rough too. Animals... I can relate to that one too. My dog does not help my anxiety.  I can manage feeding, watering, letting him in/out, and giving him medicine, and I do an ok job cleaning his ears. He has allergies and needs extra care often that other dogs don't seem to need. He's very large and always stands in my way refusing to move unless it looks like I'm going to do whatever it is he wants at the moment. When he does move it's usually fast and I don't know which way he's going to dart to. It's often around the side of me that has the least room for him to squeeze through. I can't believe he hasn't knocked me down.  Had a few close calls though. He stresses me out! My boyfriend got a new job after he lost his previous one to the pandemic so it's just me here again during the day with this huge, inconsiderate animal! BUT. I'm sorry about your diagnoses. I'm trying to imagine what you're dealing with there. I haven't had to see an orthopedic doctor thus far. Maybe I won't have to? Do you have foot issues then? Something else? I know steroids make you crazy.

. What do you do when you were always the "go to" person and now you're the one who needs help? I feel like a burden or failure if I need or want something.

Carrie I think most of us have got you with this one.

So very very hard.

It's definitely one that gets easier with time.

Also I say this to everyone:

Do what gets you through.  When you are ready, you'll change your habit.

This could be medication, counselling, asking for help.

I started listening to my own advice when I had kids. Everyone was like, don't nurse your baby to sleep, you'll make a rod for your own back.

Well I decided you can't spoil a baby with love, so I did things that I could handle, like nursing my babies to sleep. When I was ready to not do that, I dealt with it.

Which is my point.  YOU have to be ok with dealing with stuff. No time frame except for the one you make.

Thank you for those words. Everyone on here is so supportive I'm beginning to think you all understand what I'm going through lol 🙂

You're welcome, Carrie.

And yes, it's very fulfilling, understanding someone, 'getting it'.

You, dear lady, will totally rock at supporting people.
