Since my stroke I have had numbness in my left foot. In the past few months, that numbness has spread to my knee. Is that something I need to contact my doctor about? I was told that what I had at one year will be all I ever have, but this extension of the numbness is fairly new.

Increasing deficits such as numbness spreading should be discussed with your doctor.  That one year thing is a myth though, things will usually keep improving over time especially if you keep working for change.  However sometimes things do reconnect in unhelpful ways and you can get scrambled nerve signals that cause pain and other strange sensations.

All the best with it.

Please do see your doctor regarding the numbness.
