jriva
I found this article titled UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND STUDY FINDS CERTAIN COPING STRATEGIES IMPACT RECOVERY FROM STROKE on the web and even though it was written a few years ago, I think it still interesting and relevant today. http://www.umm.edu/news/releases/stroke_recovery.htm Jean

fking
Jean, if I didn't know any better, I'd swear I was one of those 22 men in the study, even though my stroke was two years later. I employ the humor, religion and acceptance of what happen, so 3 out of 3 ain't all bad. It's definately relevant and interesting to know I'm normal. I've had my days and doubts, so that article is reassurance for lots of survivors. Hope it's read by many members and guest. I'm glad you discovered and posted it here.
