I'm not a person to go out all the time. Never have been.  Sometimes though, it seems I'm out all the time!

A good friend of mine, not someone I socialise with, asked me to lunch with her friends for her birthday.

I said yes, without really thinking it through.

I was picked up by my friend and her son drove us to the pub.  End of help.

Not saying I had a terrible time. The food was great, music was great, and I knew a couple of the ladies so plenty of conversation.

The only reason I ate and had something to drink (coke no sugar) was that one of the ladies brought her daughter, 27, and I happened to sit next to her.

Oh yeah we were seated at this long picnic type table so I had to sit on the end. That's fine, but I couldn't get my leg in or out very well by myself. The struggle is real.

So anyway, Sammy ordered my food, went and grabbed it when ready, got me drinks...

I can't carry anything as I've got my walking stick in my good hand.  If I had have collected my own food it would have meant not taking my walking stick. Which increases my nervousness which increases the chances of dropping my food.  Or falling.

It's so very hard to socialise outside of the ones who get it the most.

Totally get all that. It is nice to go out if we have time to mentally prepare. The absolute biggest thing with me is comfort. That picnic table didn't sound very comfortable at all. Still nice to get out but yes I love not going anywhere too.

Willis you've read my mind regarding the table! Unfortunately I won't be in a hurry to go back to that pub, regardless of how good the food or music was!

Sunday was father's day, so my parents came for afternoon tea then Wayne's mum came later for a coffee.  So Saturday and Sunday were eventful.

No wonder I'm tired.

Not glad at all, Willis, that you suffered for three days, but I have to admit, it makes me feel better knowing I'm not alone there!
