Good Morning All!!
Yes...I'm still sleepy, I didn't sleep well....per usual, but that's par for the course. Guess I'll talk to my Doc at the next visit to see if he wants to change my sleep meds, since I don't sleep when I use them!!
Just checked out local weather channel and Thank Heavens, the nasty weather is mostly gone from Raleigh at least for this weekend!! Maybe only some plain, old, normal rain. Yea!!
My daughter is home early for her weekend. She's in Nursing School at East Carolina University and is a Nurse Scholar at one of the major hospitals here in Raleigh. For the Nurse Scholar program, she has to work a certain number of hours/month. So she didn't care for the Float Pool and she went out looking for something else in the hospital, so she found a more permanent position in the peds unit, which is where she's pretty sure she wants to work after she graduates, that or maybe in the Neonatal NICU. So, now she has a permanant position as a Nurse Tech in the Peds Unit, but she works every Sunday from 7am to 7pm and then she drives back to ECU after work. The cool thing about this Nurse Scholar position, she's guaranteed a position in the hospital after she graduates from ECU this coming December. This is how she works off the scholarhip. So,she'll have a job at least for 2 year with this hospital -- which is where she wanted to work anyway.
Hopefully she'll want to go shopping or do some Mom/Daughter stuff today. She's been a bit distant lately, but I can't blame her after what's happened at home.
You folks that are living in the North East --- take care and be careful with all the snow you've gotten/still getting. Don't try to go clean up sidewalks & driveways all at once. Safety & Your health come first!! Better yet -- go rent a snowblower if you can find one.
Well, take care and have an awesome weekend. Just pray for me that mine will be peaceful.
Take Care,
Susan

hi susan, its good to see you blogging, i think it makes one feel better being able to get your thoughts and emotions out. my son is in nursing school too. i am very proud of him as i'm sure you are the same with your daughter. the program she is in sounds great to give her the hands on experience she needs for nursing. i hope you are doing better now after i read your post. hopefully blogging will give you some inner peace and comfort. we all are here to support you. please keep blogging, whether happy or sad, we don't care. whatever is on your mind, just let it out thats why its therapeutic as asha says. i wish you the best, keep smiling no matter how hard it gets.
