About Me

I'm Kathy, married for three years to Brandt, stroke-survivor extraordinaire!

Brandt and I married after dating five years, each of us married for twenty years previously. Hubby had polio as a child, so was disabled already when the lightning bolt hit. He stroked in September of 09 and we've been recovering together since then, learning so much along the way.

Together we have 8 grandchildren, two more coming soon.

I worked as a staffing coordinator for a job placement agency in a small town but was layed off in January of 09. My office closed as the economy and job market declined. The lay off turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because I'm able to take care of hubby here at home.

We live in a small, rural area and love the laid back pace and beautiful countryside and enjoy taking little trips, visiting the kids, having family over and gardening.
