Today we took Tootie to the tryouts. With the assistance of her grandfather, Tootie hit the ball between the pitcher and 1st base. We then assisted Tootie in walking the bases. We will receive our uniforms and play our first game on 18 April :Clap-Hands:

Today we took Tootie to the 21st Annual Fishing Event for Really Special People sponsored by The Heart of Texas Region MHMR Center and area businesses.

I had to take Tootie to the ER on 11.18 (Tuesday). The school nurse called my daughter and told her she thought Tootie might be having a TIA. The teacher initially called to say Tootie had a huge bowel movement at breakfast. The teacher thought Tootie may have had diarrhea. My daughter explained she had given Tootie a sublingual Fleets the previous night. Tootie has a lot of problems with constipation and we have tried everything; apparently this works.

We took Tootie to the neurologist last week (10.16). The neurologist upped Tootie's Topamax from 2 25mg tablets a day to 1 25 mg tablet in the am and 2 25 mg tablets in the pm. Tootie is now experiencing new seizures in addition to her Infantile Spasms. We keep hoping she will outgrow the spasms but so far, she has not. The neurologist also put Tootie on 1 ml of Prozac. I am truly ambivalent about that decision

Tootie is going to join the Upward Special Needs Cheerleading Program at one of our local churches. The program won't start until January but we need to complete the application and turn it in as soon as possible :Jumpy:
The church also offers a basketball program but my daughter and Tootie's dad want Tootie to be a cheerleader :cheer:
On Tuesday, I visited the Stroke Alert Day booth at one of our local hospitals.
It was at this booth I discovered the hospital is preparing to open a Stroke Center :happydance:
I called the Stroke Coordinator today!
The center will have 8 beds dedicated to stroke patients; this is great news for Central Texans :Clap-Hands:

Yesterday was the second time Tootie used the IM (Interactive Metronome) in PT.
