I made a woman cry today and I am humbled

Riding the bus home late this afternoon the Sun was shining it was shaping up to be a really nice afternoon a woman in the seat behind me was talking on her cell phone I reached in my pocket and found the money that was pay for her bus fare so she could go visit her girlfriend . She looked at me with tears rolling down her cheeks and saying I was just telling you my friend how much I have lost faith in humanity God put us together on this bus and you are such a blessing she then confided in me

March came in like a lion

Early afternoon yesterday by 6 o'clock there were three or four inches on the roads are ready when was starting to pick up I believe we ended up with close to 8 inches of snow and was 35 to 40 mile an hour winds so lots of big snow drifts This morning at the transfer location one of them was probably close to 30 feet high and the way the big tractors piled it up it reminded me of my childhood there was a perfect shoot for toboggan to make a run full length of the of the pile of snow of course a

A small victory but a victory just the same

One of my biggest challenges has been reading with my visual impairment I lose words on the left side of the page have a hard time transitioning from the end of one sentence to another and sometimes I miss letters in a word and think it's the wrong word or a different word which lies whole new meaning to the sentence Diana pointing back and reread things a lot this morning I I decided to pick up the book I've been trying to read for the last month and since before my stroke so it is a victory th

No good deed goes unpunished

Since my wife was busy all day yesterday I made dinner it was a late dinner of course you know about the end of the day coupled with the end of the week I was too tired to do any clean up last night so I got up this morning too my darn visual impairment I didn't see the cup of coffee as I was wiping off the counter and I dumped it on the floor creating another mess for me to clean up so as I said no good deed goes unpunished lol. An incredible Friday evening

why cant you walk like that at home?

Last week when my wife ratted me out about scuffing my left foot while walking; on the way home she asked what did you do different? I said I just concentrated really hard to make sure I picked up my left foot. she then said, why can't you do that at home?   Last night, after dinner she was working on the play some more, in her office. Who can say 19 degrees and sunshine is a beautiful day I can of course

A light in the darkness for so many

What are you doing out in this weather

Can I said well I have to go to the hospital hi Dr vs Debt just volunteer work it's not like you're getting paid I said my payment come in the form of a smile from a patient when I say something silly like just checking up on you see how you're doing I thought you like to talk to somebody other than a medicalprofessuinal. Blessed by the love and friendship I have with my theatre family

We today was a blessing beyond compare

We another sunrise leaving me in awe

Started as a big orange ball in the sky and best I could watch it it changed to a yellowish white shaping up to be a beautiful day. I was having coffee today and a coffee house buddy came , we talked a few minutes. he works in a long tern nursing facility. I shared with him a copy of "A special Thank you"   I said it is for everyone that has ever worked with a stroke survivor, his eyes welled up with tears and said How Beautiful.   I was so humbled that this young man was moved that much by my words.   Jay

Early morning surprise

Temperature -5 degrees F the snow crunches beneath my feet is a walk up to catch the bus. A free lunch

Then I asked if she could suggest anybody in my hometown that's rehab. After that I could see you cuz but just ugly it's really think of your pain to get down to destroy thanks to you I'm where I am today. I'm amazing

I had an appointment with my primary physician today and one of the nurses that took me back to the exam room said to me you absolutely amaze me how you can barely walk your daughter had to bring you in with a gait belt and a walker and look at you now it's so inspiring for all of us to see how well you're doing you really are amazing How sweet is that?
