ugh, how many more days have to be like this? jim stayed up late last night-said he could not sleep-so then he slept in til 10 am. we had stuff to do today and then off to my dad's for dinner. he got up and ran to meijers. came home and finally got off his butt and worked on the dryer. while at dad's he seemed to enjoy teasing me, picking on me and interupting me. i swear everytime i went to say something, he just had to cut me off. why does he do this? how much more of this can i take? now he is in the living room watching tv, i am in our room watching tv and on the computer. neither one of us is talking. i hate this. he is so not the same man that i married and fell in love with.

Jim'swife, welcome to Strokenet and to the blog community. We are happy to support you and look forward to getting to know you (and Jim) better.

I have no idea what exactly you are facing. With every stroke, area of damage, life changes being different we are all facing the same emotions if not the same actual events. Anyway we are with you in our confusing, frustration and anger with the stroke(s) and what we have lost.

Come to caregiver's chat if you can and we can support you in your struggle. Or keep on blogging and we will get a better picture of what you and Jim are facing.

Sue.

hey Jim's wife welcome to wonderful world of blogging. Stroke affects the whole family differently. I stroked at age 34 which left me paralyed on my left side & retired me from the job I loved. I never thought I would find happiness again. but with the help of my hubby & kido & this site I have found my happiness again. Now I can look back at stroke & think as just bump in our life's journey. For me life is still good just little different.

Jim's wife, Welcome to our site. I'm a stroke survivor 2005, two years later hubby has a stroke 2007. We both have our emotional problems, and still healing from our strokes. My husband did not understand what I was going threw until he had his stroke. We have to be more patient with each other. example: I can't decide at last minute to change were I want to go once we made plans. He gets confused easily he also has aphasia.

Be kind your husband brain has been short circuited . remembertolaugh, Jeanniebean :cocktail:

Jim'swife: welcome. I am sorry you are having such a tough time of it. Possibly he is just trying to gain some control back and you are the safe haven for him. I know with my Bruce a lot of stuff is not personal, but took me a while to sort through exactly what was going on.

I hesitate to ask personal questions, as last time I did that, the wrong opinion was projected. So like Sue, I hope you will continue to blog and post and please do consider our Caregiver chats. Debbie
