...sometimes I feel sorry for myself....

I really hate the "poor me" feeling I have today. It's absolutely beautiful outside, I have a great book, both my pooches want "mom" to play ball, and/or Frisbee, and I'm still feeling emotionally miserable. I'm lonely.

SUSAN,

I'M SORRY YOU ARE HAVING SUCH A BAD DAY! HAVE YOU TALKED TO YOUR DOCTOR MAYBE IT MIGHT BE A MEDICATION CAUSING THIS. YOU'VE COME A LONG WAY FROM THE BEGINNING AND YOU'RE A SURVIVOR, THAT SAYS A LOT FOR WHO YOU ARE. THANK FULLY, YOU ARE STILL ABOVE GROUND. HUMOR ALWAYS CHEERS ME UP. GO RENT A COMEDY AND SEE HOW THAT HELPS. MAYBE, JOIN A VOLUNTEER GROUP AND VISIT OTHER NEW SURVIVORS. I HOPE THIS HELPS.

I m sorry you are feeling lonely & miserable today. but I believe that those days make you appreciate good days better. For me when I am feeling low ging for a walk, or counting my blessings or listening to great music cheer me up.

Hi Susan - I seem to vacillate between "poor me" and "ok" as you know it is tough to be at this so long and see so little change trying to make do - takes alot of energy. staying so level without changes to make life easier is taxing. "sometimes I have to have a poor me" day to get rid of built up sadness & frustration - in order to start moving forward again. we may think we've grieved our loss - but it will take as long as it takes -- may be part of the process -- as long as its just a day or so & you recognize it as a blah day - probably normal.
