just a little blog or two to convince you to not give up at recovery it is very very slow at recoverybut it does happen but not only that but of coarse your memory is affected as well short term memory so my advice to you is to write it down if you are having difficulties doing some thing write it down and the date and after it gets easier or that you find that you can even do it write it down and the datethat way you will remember just how far you have come because it truely is an inch worm but it truely comes inch by inch i know becayuse i to had a stroke and it has been 11years since mine and although i am getting munch better i still am not where i want to be but i am convince that the more i try don"t give up the more recovery you will get just remember when the going gets tough the tough gets goingand i know that it will get very tough but like the inch worm it will continue to be slow like the inch worm and even like recoveryall the best to you in your recovery little by little

All I can say Lenny is "you are so right about it" and sometimes those inches seems more like a half inch at a time on many of my good days!! I have come too far to turn back (stop) or even slow down from my routine because it's working for me!!!

I'm at a great pace for my age I think and I'm sure not at the point where I wanted to be in my 9 years so far! I thought I'd be back bowling and dancing by now but oh well, I'm glad to still be alive after a brain bleed!!!!

Lenny,

Thanks for the reminder Slow and steady wins the race. And some days, I am really slow.

Hi Lenny: You are right about recovery being slow; sometimes I wonder whether I will ever get some muscles back around the knee of my affected leg; I need these back to improve my balance, so that I can become an independent walker. I just keep on working, and hope for the best. You give me hope--thank you! HenryB

Lenny, my balace keeps me in a wheelchair but I do use a cane or walker in the house for short distances. Now if I could get my knee, ankle and foot to cooperate, It would be terrific! The brace is hard to deal with but hey lIving is super great.  I like to clean, cook, watch TV,visit my friends and teach quilting.
