Just feel like blogging...............

Not a lot of new things happening around my house, but I just felt like blogging. I love to read every one else's blogs, very entertaining, very funny, very sad, very blessed. It is good therapy for my soul to read blogs and to write my own. I want everyone to know I read everyone's blog! I just do not respond a lot, the same reason I never join chat--I can only type basically with one finger now since the stroke. It takes a long time to type one paragraph for me. I do post updates on Facebook every couple of days if anyone is interested, my name is Tina Trew Cornett and everything is public.

The girls have been in school for a little over a week now, and my youngest has already missed one day! She had a sore throat and now has a cold--sure doesn't take long once they get around all of those other kids! LOL They are enjoying being in 6th grade and 10th grade, as much as kids can enjoy school, hahaha!

Last year at this time every thing was still normal at my house, getting them up for school, etc... this year is different. Next Saturday 8/16 will be my one year stroke anniversary, so I am starting to feel melancholy about that. I do really enjoy when Trinity and Victoria come home and tell me about their day! Trinity my 16 year old loves to sit down and tell me her whole day from period 1 through period 8, sometimes I act like I am bored and start snoring!! LOL Really I am enjoying every story and soaking every thing in. She only has 3 more years and then she will leave for college. I have always put my kids first and adored them (spoiled them) but since my stroke, I am really worse. I see how fast life can change in one second.

Still contemplating going back to therapy, but pretty sure I will if insurance will start paying for some. My PT said try again in September, so I probably will. With lack of sensation all down the left side, I don't think it will help much, but it couldn't hurt anything. So it depends on insurance and the relationship between my husband and me.

Last year when my stroke happened, my husband and I were legally separated, we had gotten back together in May and was seeing if we wanted to save a 19 year old marriage and then my stroke happened in August. The court had awarded me the house and contents and full custody of my children. I have said I am going to write a book about the last year and a half of my life, I actually have started writing one! And also last year I was taking care of my Dad who had a light stroke and then surgery, taking care of my mom some also.

Smoking, diabetes, genetic blood mutation and stress is what caused my stroke.at the age of 46. The title of my book is 46 and like I said I have a few pages written out, I need to keep working on it. If I would ever finish it and get a publisher, I am sure it would be a best seller! there is so much I can write about! My Mother in law ( which is another chapter!) said--you think you are the only person who has ever had a stroke at 46? I told her, probably not but with everything else going on, I know there is not that many people who have been through what I have been through.

Enough about that for now, I will write another blog and explain the situation with my husband in a little more in depth some other time.

I just felt like blogging tonight, not getting into all of the bad stuff in my life, but I guess that is what direction I've started writing for a reason Maybe blogging about all things is therapeutic for me and I am just now realizing that.

Always good to hear from you, you have such a positive outlook. Since our beginning I found writing to be the most therapeutic thing I could do, just get it all out in the open for all to see. Plus you can look back later and see how far you've come!

Tina: wonderful time of year for the girls and some time off for you. Thank you for taking the time to update us. I do understand how very difficult this is for you. But keep plugging away.

Good plans on board and Fall is such a wonderful time of year - get out and enjoy. Debbie

Hi Tina,  please that you "blog" to tell us about the girls. Do enjoy about them talking about what happen in school, I always listen to my son and now he is in college and he calls everyday or text, and he still tells me everything.  Keep your postive outlook, and your book sounds very entaining, maybe a " TV show" LOL.
