What I do is after I go to the blog screen, I  click the view new content. If that is what you are doing then I will learn from you what works better

Sandy: I noticed that too, last night. The yellow tags still appeared after I opened and read the blog. Hopefully that will be remedied. Debbie

hmmmm..... when I click on view new content, it is just a different page with notes that go all the way back, that I don't think probably have new posts to them....   wait, I thought it was just an odd arrangement of design, but it seems the blue to the left with a dot in it, must be an indication of new or NO new.    I wonder why that isn't just the blog starter page.

Debby.... I don't see any yellow tags - I'm using Firefox 31.0     I only knew there was new response here because I got an email and clicked on it..

On the View New Content page look to the left. There is an option for viewing blogs since your last visit.

Sandy: when you call up the blog site, everything lists and on the bottom left, Comments, if something was added after your last opened the blog, a little yellow dot appears. That is always how I knew something was added after I last read the blog and if I wanted to follow that blog, that was my "tell" - like the Retirement blog you did for me.

Apparently that is no longer in effect. All of them have the yellow dot. However, after reading through all this and figuring out the "View New Content" that does work for me. I use the Java. But did want to thank you. Like Yvonne said, we learn something new everyday. Debbie

I finally see the yellow dots... I thought they were spots on my screen they are so small!   It would be good if the grey bubble was just yellow itself, easier to see.   But, at least that's something. 

The left frame choices are good, but I probably won't make the extra click to get to them, unless I want to change what is selected.    Hopefully, will get used to it, my brain fights change, it is a coward, I guess....
