Still Confused

Mom and I had a good week. The visiting nurse and PT started this week. We talked a lot and things generally went well. There is confusion mixed with the talk, but otherwise it was okay.

Yesterday she wanted to go outside because it was a nice day. I took her up to our mail station in the wheelchair to get the mail. Everything was okay when we got back. We had dinner and talked a bit. All of a sudden something snapped and she said this wasn't her house. This is a recurring scenario that I thought she was over. She became very angry with me for not taking her to her home.

She keeps thinking there is another house that has her belongings. Today she wants me to go to that house because she says there are 2 boxes with her stuff sitting outside. She is agitated because I won't comply with this, but there is nothing I can do. She has lived in this house for 20 years and everything she owns is here.

John: so sorry Mom continues to have these set backs. I know you have had her checked out for anything medical. So just hopefully, as her brain heals these sessions will fade as well. Do remember to mention it to her Neuro.

But a good week is a good week. Do you remember when a good hour was something to celebrate? LOL. And yes, as we ease into Winter you will be so glad you both got out and some fresh air and sunshine while the weather is still good.

I am always hoping for the best. On Oct. 14 she was diagnosed with a total heart block due to low heart rate. She got a pacemaker the next day. She seems to be improving with the pacemaker.

We had a good day yesterday. I put some of her clothes in 2 boxes just in case she wanted to know if I got them. She didn't ask the rest of the day. She is in a good mood this morning. It's good to see her smile and laugh.
