Money tight while waiting for disability. I stopped by a dollar store for peanutbutter, a staple. I found an off brand for 2.00 and picked up some cookies for a treat. I know the cookies are 1.00

So I dug into my pocket for .18, 6% sales tax the clerk tells me it's only 3.00, I said really here is yhe oney for tax.

She said it's good there is no tax in good.

Another lapse if the long term memory.

99% of the time I shop I use mydebut card so I don't think about no sales tax on food. Boy I felt kind of dumb.

But I still have my 18 cents. I was impressed that recalled the sales tax is 6% and I knew I only spent 3.00 .

On the bright side I had the money. I didn't need to put anything back.
