There's nothing to say for it, but OMG!!!!

I've been trying to plan this for a bit, but didn't want to mention it to anyone just in case that jinxed the process.

I got in contact with my old college gang, and we've been trying to plan a reunion. It was decided on a camp out next weekend. All were comming, except me. That really sucked, but it couldn't be helped.

Well, everything started falling into place finally. I got a babysitter for Kathy confirmed yesterday. Today I confirmed the days off with my dad. So the 26, 27, and 28 I will be Kathy free!!!!! Oh yeah, and I'll be taking a trip down memory lane with some old friends.

At this point all Kathy needs is someone to cook her food for her and keep her company. With the exception of her Lantus, she's taking all her meds by herself now. Getting them out of the box, fixing something to drink, etc. She also has complete mobility in the house now. She still will occasionally fall, but she can now get off the floor by herself. So, I have no worries about leaving her alone with someone who hasn't been "trained" to handle all the problems I had to deal with in the past.

I'm just so excited about this. Lord knows, I need a vacation. Maybe I can actaully go these three days with feeling like I'm trying to develope a stomach ulcer.
