Hi Clark,

This blog is the best decription of depression I've ever read! You have a gift for writing!

As I've told you in the past, I've had depression in my distance past as dark and ugly as you've describing here. But it was different...caused by situations that I could and was able to change....not organic depression like yours. I really admire and respect you for your ability to keep moving on. You always seem to be able to pick yourself back up at the darkest point and you've got to know how much that means to your family and friends who care about you. There is always hope, Clark....new drugs and treatments just over the horizen, that will free you to live a better life. Keep that hope filed away and blog your heart out if it helps.

Hi Clark, keep blogging if it helps you to get those thoughts out. As Jean says you have a talent for writing. Maybe you could write a book...or join a group, you have the experience to help others.

Keep your hope. I know the University Hospital here has clinical trials for different disorders and sometimes I see them for depression..

some days are one hour at at a time and some days one minute at a time.

Have you looked at the meds you're taking? Have any been added? With me, I often run the opposite. Could your med for depression (are you taking one?) be what is causing the problem?

I had depression with my 1st stroke and it was a simple thing. This time, my stroke wasn't as simple and while I should have had depression, I did not. Perhaps it was more acceptence. No, I'm not suggesting trying for a second.....but if you've accepted fully, then there should be no problem, just going to the next step. The real positive step. This is what is, it can get somewhat better, but in any case, what can I do now with what I have?
