Nasty Weather
I just wanted to make a record of my day - for memories. Rob had his stroke in August. The closest comprehensive medical care and rehabilitation services is 125 miles (one way) away. Since August, I have made that 250 mile round trip on the average of twice a week. I have been dreading the day that it has to be made in the snow and ice. Well today it happened. We've had some snow this winter, but nothing that caused the road to be very bad. Today was the dreaded day. We saw over a dozen cars in the ditch today. We had ice and snow the whole trip - and to top it off, I had to make the last probably 25 miles home in the dead of dark (we're dark at 5:30 PM now). After the Friday trip, we'll have three weeks off from therapy. Holidays and PFO closure will keep us out of Therapy until mid-December. I look forward to the break.
