Now we are complete
Our family is so very excited and down right happy. My daughters husband came home from Iraq on thursday. The baby is getting used to her Daddy, and Daddy is trying so hard to do all he can for her. She took her first steps today and he was so thrilled that she waited for him to get home. He feels he has missed so much, but I keep telling him there is so much more. He missed the colic, the cutting of her 6 pearly white teeth and ear infections and allergic reactions to meds. She is getting to the fun stage now. 10 months old and growing fast. Her Mama was in a twin bed by now because I couldn't keep her in her crib. She was running by this time. It is so good to have him home. When he walked in the door I began to cry. The kids decorated the house with colorful paper chains and lots of baloons. They even decorated the bathroom. "Welcome Home" signs and even hand drawn pictures. We took the kids out of school for the afternoon the day he came home. They worked so hard making the house just right for him. This is only the second time they have met him. Before he left last year, he came to the adoption center to visit them with us. The littlest remembers playing with the train together.
Oh, I forgot the family isn't complete yet! Christmas Eve our newest member will arrive. His name is Goliath, and he is a chiwawa(SP?) He is a present for my 22 year old. She fell in love with him last night and doesn't know yet. She wants him but says she can't afford to buy him. We are all going in on it for her for Christmas.
