Martha's Corn Fritters
Slowe first found this recipe (on a Matha Stewart show) and it has become a family favorite. Probably the best corn fritters we've ever had! We usually just do butter and salt and pepper, but the maple syrup sounds good, too!
Corn Fritters with Maple Syrup
Makes 10 four-inch fritters
3 ears corn
1 large egg
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
