Doctor Visits

Yesterday, I went to get my Eyes checked. It had been two years since they had been last checked and the doctor who did that exam deciced he needed to "change careers" quite suddenly.

I mentioned this to the new Optical Doc who told me, "Oh yes. He and I trained together. Great guy!!!!" I was really feeling good about things at this point.

After all, It's ONLY my eyesight!!!!!!!!

So we get through the exam and they give me my prescription for my new glasses with bifocals. angry.gif

I ask if they do the glasses there. He tells me that he does not but there is a place attached to his building that does. GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The person who runs it has a Major FLU right now. yikes.gifyikes.gifyikes.gif

Damn, I knew I needed to bring my respirator!!!!!!!!!!!

I survived that and I have not come down with the flu thank goodness. But then, it is still early.

Today, I visited the podiatrist. You see, two weeks ago, I broke my big toe on my right foot. I misjudged where a cable was laying across the floor and actually fractured my big toe.

She did the x-rays.

She looked at the x-rays. "HHHHmmmm!" she says as she looks through her granny glasses.

She comes in and presses that special spot on my big toe and has the f&^%$(g nerve to ask, "Does that hurt?"

"But yes, it does smart some." I say in a voice 15 octaves higher than I normally use for speaking.

She said, "That's where the break was."

"No *beep*, Sherlock" I thought in response.

So, the question I have for you is............

How was your day?

hey charles, sorry your days seem MORE annoying than mine lately, and THAT'S quite a feat!!!!!! i was going to work all weekend to get caught up since i am SO slow now.

i got up early sat morning, got dressed ( which is STRESSFUL enough) only to walk up to my blazer and one of the NEW tires is flat as a fritter. the husband was out of town, mom and dad, out of town, in-laws, out of town, EVERYBODY who has a normal life was OUT OF TOWN for the three day weekend EXCEPT me and my flat tire.

i KNOW i am not as strong as i used to be, but i managed to get it jacked up without killing myself. THEN i couldn't get the lugs ( or whatever they're called) off. i called the tow service i pay for and THAT WIMP couln't get the lugs off either!!!!!

anyway, i had NO choice but to have it hauled to the shop which by that point was CLOSED. so, i didn't get to work until after 10am today and

am so far behind i'm OVERWHELMED!!!!!! i just thought you'd like to know that you are NOT ALONE when it comes to the days you've been having!!!!

Kim,

Thank you for the kind words. I know I am not the only one who has days like this. I am sorry about your "twilight zone" episodes you were describing. If you can, I would get a new doctor who is worth a crap.

That is one of the few benefits of living in this hell hole known as Michigan. There are very good docs up here.

Hope you don't go under for the third time.
