i have finally found an article that describes what i've been for my entire life.

 

i'm a grup.

* Also known as yupster (yuppie + hipster), yindie (yuppie + indie), and alterna-yuppie. Our preferred term, grup, is taken from an episode of Star Trek (keep reading) in which Captain Kirk et al. land on a planet of children who rule the world, with no adults in sight. I think I might be a grup too. I am the only chick my age I know who listens to "Disturbed" and "Tool" (to name just a few) and not only likes it, but cranks it up until the windows shake. Who cares about neighbors- I'll build my kingdom on the curb.

THAT SO REMINDS ME OF THAT MOVIE "LOGAN'S RUN'. THE FIRST PART OF YOUR BLOG. REMEMBER, NO ONE COULD LIVE PAST 30, I THINK, AND IT WAS ALL FUTURISTIC AND A COUPLE "ESCAPED" AND ACTUALLY SAW AN ELDERLY MAN AND ASKED IF THE "CRACKS" ON HIS FACE HURT. THAT MOVIE FACSINATES ME.
