my job sucks

:head_hurts: I am feeling so down my new desk at work is so unchallenging it leaves me feeling constantly drained and useless. I was formerly a sales representative now I'm in administration basically co-ordinating in house info for the reps who are out in the trade.I guess being so close to where I'm coming from gives me a constant reminder of what was. Not to mention that this desk comes with a 45% pay cut :head_hurts: All in all at least I still have a paying job in that sense I'm grateful/thankful.

As if having the stroke wasn't bad enough having no money with a new kid sucks.

I feel as if I'm inside a building watching every thing else and every body else getting on with the business of getting on and I'm just isolated and getting left behind.

MAN CAN I RELATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I WAS A GENERAL MANAGER FOR A FAMILY RESTAURANT FOR MANY YEARS AND FINALLY WENT INTO SALES AND THEN GOT A REAL ESTATE APPRAISER'S LICENSE ABOUT 7 YEARS AGO. I WAS ABOUT 34 WHEN I LEFT THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS.

WELL, I CHECKED INTO MOVING TO ANOTHER STATE A FEW MONTHS AGO TO BE WITH MY FIANCE' TO LIVE IN HIS HOMETOWN AND WAS *****TOLD****** THE STATES WERE RECIPROCAL IN LICENSURE.

WELL, NOT NECESSARILY SO. I HAVE BEEN HERE NOT QUITE A MONTH AND HAVE FOUND OUT THAT THIS STATE REQUIRES "THIS AND THAT" THAT WHERE I WORKED BEFORE DIDN'T. IT WILL TAKE ME A FEW MONTHS TO GET A STATE LICENSE HERE.

SO, I WENT "HOME" TO WHAT I KNEW BEFORE, RESTAURANT WORK AT THE AGE PF 43. GOOD LORD IT'S HARDER THAN I REMEMBER. SO, NOW INSTEAD OF BEING A PROFESSIONAL, I AM A WAITRESS IN TRAINING TO MAKE ENDS MEET AND FEEL SO SO SO INADEQUATE.

I HAVE THE UTMOST RESPECT FOR RESTAURANT WORKERS AND AND AMNOT PUTTING THEM DOWN IN ANY WAY. I JUST FELT I "MOVED ON" TO BETTER THINGS FOR MYSELF WITH YEARS OF HARD WORK, SCHOOL, LICENSES, ETC, AND NOW, I AM RIGHT BACK WHERE I STARTED.

LIKE YOU SAY, THE MONEY IS LESS TOO. I'D SAY IN MY CASE AT LEAST A 60% DECREASE IN WAGES. I AM JUST THANKFUL SOMEONE WOULD HIRE ME AND I CAN WORK. BUT MY FAMILY IS VERY DISSAPPOINTED IN ME AND THAT HURTS.

I FEEL YOUR PAIN

KIM

Does it seem like you got less to do based on your physical condition or doctors orders?

Could be the 45% reduced pay causing you to feel like you do. In my case and physical condition, I would probably be glad to have a job with income. I going on 3 years with no pay.

yes I guess I 've got less to do based on health. The pay cut is the most stressfull with the new baby and all the living expenses that did not change based on my health.

Much to be grateful for like you pointed to I could have no pay at all.
