A load lifted!

It's amazing the freedom and the burdens a driver's license can lift. I know, my grammar sucks but here no one cares so I can just type away!! My husband got his license back a few weeks ago. He's sooo happy after not being able to drive since his last seizure in Jan. 2005.

Me too for that matter. Now he can meet me at my office in order to go for Dr. appointments. I still go so I can talk and of course I need to know what's up. He can go to the grocery store, run errands, visit his children, drive to my sister's to the farm where he helps out with the horses and stuff. It's really wonderful and I'm so thankful for his progress.

He's learned to do so much since I "backed off". He can go to the movies, , use his debit card, check the voicemail messages at home, use a cell phone, and fill his own medication thingy among other things. :D

He still can't do the bills and stuff. But at least if something ever happens to me he'll be pretty self sufficient.

Okay, done blabbing now!! :yadayada:

Cindy,

Glad to hear from you stranger. Things sound like they are coming together for you both. It is good to hear of progress, lucky guy getting the license back. Me, I'm lucky to have Bill as a chauffer.(sp?) Remember all those times when you first got here? Look at how far you personally have come, you overcame all the doubts and fears. You need to start blabbing on here about how it was so hard at first for you to cope and now look at you all this time down the road.... Let all the new caregivers/spouses know it does get better, maybe not easier but better......

Pam,

I couldn't believe that it had been a year since my last blog. AND I was venting like crazy!!

Man...things really have changed a lot since then. I really wasn't gone since I would check periodically just not sign in all the time.

I've missed you all and thanks so much. I'm so glad you have a chauffer (sp?) now. Take care girl and thanks for the welcome back. I'm sure I'll be here a lot more often cuz you're right. :friends:

You too Fred. When I saw the scooter :scooter: along with the other new smilies I thought hmmmm, I wonder if it was found especially for you.

Thanks for your response too Bonnie.

Cindy :D
