Ice Cubes on the Brain

More and more I have been having the ice cube sensation. I read it described like this on Stroke Net quite a while back and I couldn't describe it better. It is like ice cubes are melting in my head. Actually it is kind of a cool feeling. It is also one of those things that when you tell the Dr. about it they just shrug like they have no idea. It's a good thing it is a pleasant sensation.

I figured out that the bout of seizures I had over the weekend was because of a medication change last week. I should have felt it coming on but was caught off guard. Anyway it is good to know what the cause was. I hate "seizure days" though because they are even bigger holes in my memory than regular days. I also feel very lethargic and more easily confused for a couple of days.

AJ, glad you found the cause of the seizures, that has to be a relief.

I too get the wierd sensation in my head, feels like where the stroke occured. I asked my Dr. and he shrugged also and said it's normal..

Possibly, after talking with your doctor, he/she may change your meds so you don't have these side effects -

I have epilepsy [last seizure 1987], and you are brave as I don't think I could deal with what you are dealing with -

Check with your doc, so you don't have seizures

GOOD LUCK

June :cheer:

Glad you found the cause AJ - my doc also said that the weird melting feeling is normal - his answer was quite positive though - he said that he had founf that usually when nerves were re-generating that cold was the first to come back after an intense itching sensation - so maybe this is a really good thing - :fingers crossed: :)
