My Daughter is home!!!
I can't believe it's a week since I shared any news. Tsk, tsk.
Julia returned home yesterday from visiting her father in Argentina. Her flight stopped in Washington, and then on to Toronto. She was flabbergasted by the fact that U.S. Customs made her take her shoes off!! Doesn't listen to Mom. She couldn't believe ALL the things Customs made people do.
She boarded her flight to Toronto and arrived 15 minutes early. I, of course, arrived 15 minutes late!! I figured getting her luggage, going through Canada Customs I would be right on time. I stood at the gate for an hour before finally someone from the airline showed up looking for me. He politely gave me a 'stern talking to' for being late and then led me to the departures level (one elevator ride up) to get her. Where I gave him a 'stern talking to' bringing my daughter upstairs while I'm down waiting for her. Ugh, these airline people..... :Tantrum: We hugged and left the airport. Tuesday night the news said that security at Canadian airports were going on strike effective Wednesday - boy was I glad they hadn't started in Toronto before we left!!!
She had to have a hamburger and fries before we got home SO we went to get them for lunch. What can I say except "I'm such a sucker" when it comes to my kids. BUT, she's home and that is all that matters.
